- போர்க்களத்தில் பகைவரை எதிர்க்கும் சுமை அஞ்சாத வீரர்களின் மேல் விழுவது போல, உறவினர்களிடையேயும் குடியைக் காக்கும் சுமை திறமையுடையவர்களின் மேலேயே விழும். ‘அமரகம்’ என்பது போர்க்களம்; ‘வன்கண்ணர்’ என்பவர் அஞ்சாதவர்; ‘பொறை’ என்பது சுமை. குடும்பத்தில் யார் தாங்கும் ஆற்றல் உடையவரோ, அவர்களிடமே பொறுப்பு சேரும்.
