- வறுமை, எப்போதும் எதையாவது பெற ஏங்க வைப்பதால் அதனை ‘நசை’ அதாவது ஆசை என்கிறார் வள்ளுவர். அந்த ஏக்கம், ஒருவனுடைய பழமையான குடும்பப் பெருமையையும் அவனுக்குரிய மதிப்பையும் ஒன்றாகச் சேர்த்து அழித்துவிடும். தேவையால் தவிப்பவன் தன் பெருமையைக் காக்க முடியாமல் போகிறான் என்பது கருத்து.
