- 'கூற்று' என்பது உயிரைக் கவர்ந்து செல்லும் சாவுத் தெய்வம். அது எப்படி இருக்கும் என்று முன்பு நான் அறிந்ததில்லை; இப்போது அறிந்துகொண்டேன். பெண்மைக்குரிய மென்மையான அழகோடு கூடி, போர் புரிவது போலத் தாக்கும் இவளுடைய பெரிய கண்களே அந்தக் கூற்று என்கிறான் தலைவன். அவள் பார்வை தன் உயிரையே வாட்டுவதாக அவன் உணர்கிறான்.
