- The wealth of a fair and upright person does not waste away. It lasts, and it becomes a safeguard for their descendants as well.

- "செப்பம்" என்றால் நேர்மையான நடுவுநிலைமை. "எச்சம்" என்றால் ஒருவருக்குப் பின் வரும் மக்கள், பேரர் முதலிய வழித்தோன்றல்கள். "ஏமாப்பு" என்றால் காவலும் துணையும். நடுவுநிலை தவறாதவன் சேர்த்த செல்வம் அழியாமல் நிலைத்து, அவனுக்குப் பின் வரும் தலைமுறைக்கும் பாதுகாப்பாக அமையும். நேர்வழியில் ஈட்டிய பொருள் பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் அமைதியான வாழ்வைத் தரும்.
