- நெய்யை ஊற்றித் தீயை அணைப்போம் என்று சொல்வது போன்றதே, பழிப்பேச்சால் காதலை அடக்கிவிடுவோம் என்று சொல்வதும். நெய் தீயை மேலும் கொழுந்துவிட்டு எரியச் செய்வது போல, அலர் காதலை மேலும் பெருக்கும். 'நுதுப்பேம்' என்றால் அணைப்போம் என்று பொருள். தூற்றலால் உண்மையான அன்பை அழிக்க முடியாது என்பது கருத்து.
