- கயல் மீன் போன்ற, மை தீட்டிய என் கண்கள் நான் கெஞ்சுவதைக் கேட்டுத் தூங்கினால் நன்றாக இருக்கும் என்கிறாள் காதலி. அப்படித் தூங்கினால், கனவில் வரும் காதலனிடம், அவர் பிரிவால் நான் எவ்வளவு வருந்தி, எப்படி உயிர் பிடித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறேன் என்பதை முழுதும் சொல்லிவிடுவேன். பிரிவுத் துயரில் தூக்கமும் வராது என்பது இதில் உள்ளடங்கியுள்ளது.
