- மயக்கம் தரும் மாலைப் பொழுதே, நீ வாழ்க! ஒளி மங்கி நீயும் துயரத்தோடு காணப்படுகிறாய். என் காதலரைப் போலவே உன் துணையும் இரக்கமற்ற கல்நெஞ்சம் கொண்டதோ? என்று தலைவி கேட்கிறாள். மங்கிய மாலையைத் தன்னைப் போலவே பிரிவால் வாடுவதாக அவள் எண்ணுகிறாள். துயரத்தில் இருப்பவர் சுற்றியுள்ளவற்றிலும் தம் துயரையே காண்பர் என்பது இதன் உட்பொருள்.
