- பொருள் தேடுவதையே இயல்பாகக் கொண்டு என்னைப் பிரிந்து சென்றவரை நினைத்து நினைத்து, இதுவரை பிரியாமல் தாங்கி நின்ற என் உயிர், இந்த மயக்கம் தரும் மாலையில் அழிந்துவிடும் என்கிறாள் தலைவி. இத்தனை நாள் பொறுத்துக்கொண்டவள் இனி தாங்க முடியாத நிலையை அடைந்ததை இது காட்டுகிறது. பொருளுக்காக அன்பை நீண்டகாலம் புறக்கணிப்பதன் விலையையும் இது உணர்த்துகிறது.
