- என் கணவர் ஒருநாளாவது திரும்பி வரட்டும். அப்போது, என்னை வருத்தும் பிரிவுத் துன்பம் முழுவதும் அழியும்படி அவரை நிறைவாக அனுபவித்து மகிழ்வேன் என்று தலைவி கூறுகிறாள். 'பருகுவன்' என்பது தாகம் கொண்டவர் நீர் அருந்துவதுபோல் அவர் அன்பை முழுமையாக நுகர்வதைக் குறிக்கும் உவமை. 'பைதல் நோய்' என்பது மனத்தை வாட்டும் ஏக்கத் துயரம்.
