- என் காதலரை மறக்கத் தெரியாத என் நெஞ்சு மாண்பு இல்லாததும் அறியாமை நிறைந்ததும் ஆகும். அப்படிப்பட்ட நெஞ்சின் பிடியில் சிக்கிக்கொண்டதால், என் நாணத்தையும் நான் மறந்துவிட்டேன் என்று தலைவி வருந்துகிறாள். 'மாணா' என்பது பெருமை இல்லாத; 'மடநெஞ்சு' என்பது பேதை நெஞ்சு என்று பொருள்படும்.
