Thirukkural 139: ஒழுக்க முடையவர்க்கு ஒல்லாவே தீய – Meaning in English (The Possession of Decorum)

Kural 139

Ozhukka Mutaiyavarkku Ollaave Theeya
Vazhukkiyum Vaayaar Solal

Meaning
People of good conduct simply cannot let harmful words pass their lips, not even by a slip of the tongue.
Classic translations

It cannot be that they who 'strict decorum's' law fulfil, E'en in forgetful mood, should utter words of ill.
