அறன்ஆக்கம் வேண்டாதான் என்பான் பிறனாக்கம்

- பேணாது என்றால் போற்றாமல்; அழுக்கறுப்பான் என்றால் பொறாமை கொள்பவன். பிறருக்கு வரும் வளர்ச்சியைக் கண்டு மகிழ்ந்து போற்றாமல் பொறாமைப்படுபவன், தனக்கு அறமும் செல்வமும் வேண்டாம் என்று ஒதுக்குபவன் என்றே கருதப்படுவான். ஏனெனில் பொறாமை அவனை நல்வழியிலிருந்து விலக்கி, அவனுடைய முன்னேற்றத்தையும் தடுத்துவிடும்.
