- ஒருவன் அறத்தைப் பற்றி வாயால் பேசாதவனாகவும், நல்லவை அல்லாத செயல்களைச் செய்பவனாகவும் இருக்கலாம். அப்படிப்பட்டவனைப் பற்றியும் 'இவன் யாரைப் பற்றியும் அவர் இல்லாத இடத்தில் குறை பேசமாட்டான்' என்று மற்றவர்கள் சொன்னால், அது அவனுக்கு ஒரு நல்ல பெயராக அமையும். புறம் பேசாமை என்பது பிற குறைகளையும் ஓரளவு ஈடுசெய்யும் அளவுக்கு உயர்ந்த பண்பு என்பதே இதன் கருத்து.
