- இந்த உலகில் தோன்றும் எல்லாப் பொருள்களும் ஒருநாள் அழிந்துவிடும். தனக்கு நிகர் இல்லாத, உயர்ந்த புகழ் ஒன்றுதான் அழியாமல் நிலைத்து நிற்கும். 'ஒன்றா' என்பது ஒப்பற்ற, இணையில்லாத என்ற பொருளைத் தரும்; 'பொன்றாது' என்பது அழியாமல் என்பதாகும். உடலும் செல்வமும் போனாலும், நல்ல செயல்களால் பெற்ற பெயர் தலைமுறைகள் கடந்தும் வாழும்.
