- அருள் இல்லாதவன் செய்யும் அறச்செயல், ஆராய்ந்து பார்த்தால், தெளிந்த அறிவு இல்லாதவன் உண்மைப் பொருளைக் கண்டறிவதைப் போன்றது. தெளிவில்லாதவன் உண்மையைக் காண முடியாது; அதுபோல இரக்கம் இல்லாதவன் உண்மையான அறத்தைச் செய்ய முடியாது. மனத்தில் இரக்கம் இல்லாமல் செய்யும் நற்செயல்கள் வெறும் வெளித்தோற்றமே.
