- விரும்பிய பயன்களை விரும்பியபடியே அடைய முடியும் என்பதால்தான், தவம் இவ்வுலகில் முயன்று செய்யப்படுகிறது. 'ஈண்டு' என்றால் இங்கே, இவ்வுலகில்; 'எய்தல்' என்றால் அடைதல். மனத்தை அடக்கி உறுதியுடன் முயல்பவருக்கு அவர் நோக்கம் கைகூடும் என்ற கருத்து அன்றாட வாழ்க்கைக்கும் பொருந்தும்.
