- திருட்டில் முற்றிய ஆசை கொண்டவர்கள், நெறியின் எல்லைக்குள் நின்று ஒழுங்காக வாழ இயலாதவர்கள். 'அளவு' என்பது முறையான வரம்பு, அதாவது தனக்கு உரியதை மட்டும் கொள்ளும் நேர்மை. பிறர் பொருள் மீது கண் வைத்தவருடைய மனம் அவரை எப்போதும் வரம்பு மீறவே தூண்டும்.
