- உடலின் வெளித் தூய்மை நீரால் உண்டாகும்; மனத்தின் உள் தூய்மையோ வாய்மையால்தான் வெளிப்படும். 'புறம்' என்பது உடலையும், 'அகம்' என்பது உள்ளத்தையும் குறிக்கின்றன. நாள்தோறும் குளித்து உடலைச் சுத்தமாக வைப்பது போல, உண்மை பேசி மனத்தையும் தூய்மையாக வைத்திருக்க வேண்டும்.
