- 'நாள்' என்பது வெறும் கால அளவைப் போலத் தோன்றுகிறது. ஆனால் உண்மையை உணர்ந்தவர்களுக்கு, ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் உயிரைக் கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமாக அறுத்துக் குறைக்கும் வாள் என்பது தெரியும். 'ஈர்தல்' என்றால் அறுத்தல். கழியும் ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் வாழ்நாளில் ஒன்று குறைகிறது என்பதை நினைத்தால், நேரத்தை வீணாக்க மனம் வராது.
