- மனம் இயல்பாகவே தான் விரும்பிய இடங்களுக்கெல்லாம் அலையும் தன்மை உடையது. அது போகும் வழியெல்லாம் போகவிடாமல் தடுத்து, தீமையிலிருந்து விலக்கி, நல்ல வழியில் செலுத்துவதே அறிவு. 'ஒரீஇ' என்றால் நீக்கி; 'உய்ப்பது' என்றால் செலுத்துவது. ஆசை இழுக்கும் பக்கமெல்லாம் சாயாமல், மனத்தை நல்லதில் நிறுத்துபவரே அறிவாளி.
