- மரக்கிளையின் நுனி வரை ஏறியவன், அதையும் தாண்டி மேலே ஏற முயன்றால், அது அவன் உயிருக்கே முடிவாகிவிடும். 'நுனிக்கொம்பர்' என்றால் கிளையின் கடைசி முனை; 'இறந்து ஊக்குதல்' என்றால் அந்த எல்லையைக் கடந்து முயலுதல். தன் வலிமை எட்டக்கூடிய உச்ச எல்லையை அடைந்த பிறகும் மேலும் துணிந்து செல்வது அழிவைத் தரும் என்பதை இது உணர்த்துகிறது.
