- தன்னிடம் உள்ள செல்வத்தின் எல்லையை எடைபோட்டுப் பார்க்காமல் பிறருக்கு உதவும் கொடைத்தன்மை, அவனுடைய செல்வத்தின் அளவையே விரைவில் அழித்துவிடும். 'ஒப்புரவு' என்றால் ஊருக்கும் பிறருக்கும் உதவுதல்; 'வல்லை' என்றால் விரைவாக. உதவுவது சிறந்த பண்பு; ஆனால் அது தன் வலிமைக்கு உட்பட்டதாக இருந்தால்தான் நீண்ட நாள் தொடர முடியும்.
