- ஆழமான நீரில் இருக்கும்போது முதலை தன்னை எதிர்க்கும் எதையும் வென்றுவிடும்; அதே முதலை அந்த நீரை விட்டு வெளியே வந்தால், பிற உயிர்கள் அதை எளிதில் வென்றுவிடும். 'நெடும்புனல்' என்பது ஆழமான நீர். ஒருவரின் வலிமை அவர் நிற்கும் இடத்தைப் பொறுத்தது; தமக்கு ஏற்ற களத்தை விட்டு விலகினால் வலியவரும் தோற்பர்.
