- வேறு தெய்வத்தை வணங்காமல், காலையில் எழும்போதே கணவனை வணங்கி எழுபவள் "பெய்" என்று சொன்னால் மழை பெய்யும். கணவனிடம் அவள் கொண்ட முழுமையான அன்பும் பற்றும் இயற்கையையே பணியவைக்கும் ஆற்றல் உடையது என்று வள்ளுவர் அவளைப் போற்றுகிறார். இதனைப் பலர் அவளுடைய மாண்பைப் புகழும் உயர்வு நவிற்சியாகக் கொள்வர்.
