- உலக வாழ்க்கை சீராக நடப்பது கண்ணோட்டம் என்னும் கனிவான பார்வையால்தான். அந்தப் பண்பு இல்லாதவர்கள் உயிரோடு இருப்பது, இந்த நிலத்துக்கு வீணான சுமையாகவே அமையும் என்கிறார் வள்ளுவர். பிறரிடம் இரக்கமும் கனிவும் காட்டாமல் வாழ்பவர் உலகுக்கு எந்த நன்மையும் செய்வதில்லை; இடத்தை மட்டுமே பிடித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்.
