- தன்னைப் பெற்ற தாய் பசியால் வாடுவதைக் கண்டாலும், சான்றோர் இகழும் தீய செயலை ஒருவர் செய்யக் கூடாது. "ஈன்றாள்" என்பது பெற்ற தாய். தாயைக் காப்பது போன்ற மிக நெருங்கிய கடமைக்காகவும் நேர்மையைக் கைவிடக் கூடாது என்று வள்ளுவர் வலியுறுத்துகிறார். எந்த நெருக்கடியும் தவறான வழியைச் சரி என்று ஆக்கிவிடாது என்பதே இதன் கருத்து.
