- அரசர் விரும்பிப் பெற விழையும் பொருள்களையும் இன்பங்களையும் அவரிடம் பணிபுரிவோர் தாமும் விரும்பாமல் இருக்க வேண்டும். அப்படி விலகி நின்றால், அரசரே மனம் மகிழ்ந்து அவர்களுக்கு நிலையான செல்வத்தையும் உயர்வையும் வழங்குவார். தலைவர் ஆசைப்படுவதில் போட்டியிடாதவரே அவரது நம்பிக்கையைப் பெறுவார்.
