- தம் துன்பத்தைத் தாமாக உணர்ந்துகொள்ளாதவர்களிடம் அதைச் சொல்லி வருந்தக்கூடாது. பகைவரின் முன்னிலையில் தம் தளர்ச்சியையும் வலிமைக் குறைவையும் வெளிப்படுத்தக்கூடாது. புரிந்துகொள்ளாதவரிடம் சொல்வதால் பயன் இல்லை; பகைவர் அறிந்தால் அதையே பயன்படுத்தித் தாக்குவர்.
