- புகழோடு சேர்த்து உயர்ந்த மானத்தையும் விரும்புகிறவர்கள், புகழ் கிடைக்கும் என்றாலும் பெருமைக்குப் பொருந்தாத இழிவான செயல்களைச் செய்யவே மாட்டார்கள். "பேராண்மை" என்ற சொல் இங்கு மானத்துடன் கூடிய உயர்ந்த தன்மையைக் குறிக்கிறது. பெயர் பெறுவதற்காக நேர்மையற்ற வழியில் செல்வது உண்மையான பெருமை ஆகாது.
