Aishwarya Lekshmi, born on September 6, 1991, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is an Indian actress and model who works primarily in Malayalam and Tamil cinema. She is a qualified doctor (MBBS from Trivandrum Medical College) who chose to pursue acting over her medical career.

Aishwarya made her acting debut in the Malayalam film “Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela” (2017) and quickly gained recognition for her natural acting style and charming screen presence. She appeared in several successful Malayalam films including “Mayaanadhi” (2017), “Varathan” (2018), and “Archana 31 Not Out” (2022).

In Tamil cinema, Aishwarya has made a notable impact with films like “Action” (2019) opposite Vishal, “Jagame Thandhiram” (2021) directed by Karthik Subbaraj opposite Dhanush, and “Ponniyin Selvan: I” (2022) and “Ponniyin Selvan: II” (2023) directed by Mani Ratnam, where she played the role of Poonguzhali which earned her widespread appreciation. She has also appeared in Telugu films like “King of Kotha” (2023). Known for her multilingual talent and her decision to follow her passion over a conventional career, Aishwarya has won the North American Film Awards for Best Actress and continues to be one of the most sought-after young actresses in South Indian cinema.
