Amala Paul, born on October 26, 1991, in Aluva, Kerala, is a versatile Indian actress who has established herself as a leading performer across Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu cinema. She made her acting debut in the Malayalam film “Neelathamara” (2009) and quickly transitioned to Tamil cinema with “Veerasekaran” (2010).

Her breakthrough came with the romantic drama “Mynaa” (2010), directed by Prabhu Solomon, where her portrayal of a village girl earned widespread acclaim and the Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Tamil). She followed this success with critically acclaimed performances in “Deiva Thirumagal” (2011) opposite Vikram and “Velaiilla Pattadhari” (VIP, 2014) alongside Dhanush, which became a massive commercial hit.

Amala Paul has demonstrated remarkable range in her career, taking on diverse roles in films like “Amma Kanakku” (2016), the thriller “Aadai” (2019) where she delivered a bold and fearless performance, and the Malayalam hit “Cadaver” (2022).
