Atharvaa Murali, born on May 7, 1989, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is a Tamil actor and the son of late veteran actor Murali. He made his acting debut with “Baana Kaathadi” (2012), a romantic drama that showcased his potential as a young leading man.
Atharvaa quickly rose to prominence with “Paradesi” (2013), directed by Bala, a critically acclaimed film about tea plantation workers that won three National Film Awards. His intense performance in the physically demanding role demonstrated his commitment to his craft. He followed this with the action thriller “Eetti” (2015), where he played a javelin thrower, and the sports drama “100” (2019).
His filmography includes diverse projects like the romantic drama “Gemini Ganeshanum Suruli Raajanum” (2017), the action entertainer “Boomerang” (2019), the thriller “Kuruthi Aattam” (2022), and the boxing drama “Trigger” (2022).
