Bhavana

Bhavana, born Karthika Menon on June 6, 1986, in Thrissur, Kerala, is a popular Indian actress who has worked extensively in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada cinema. She made her debut at the age of 16 and quickly established herself as one of South India’s most talented young actresses.

Bhavana made her acting debut with the Malayalam film “Nammal” (2002) directed by Kamal, which won the National Film Award for Best Film and was both a critical and commercial success. She gained popularity in Tamil cinema with films like “Chithiram Pesuthadi” (2006), “Deepavali” (2007) opposite Jayam Ravi, and “Asal” (2010) opposite Ajith Kumar.

In Malayalam cinema, she delivered acclaimed performances in “Swapnakoodu” (2003), “4 The People” (2004), and “Thomman” (2023). In Telugu, she appeared in successful films like “Prema Katha Chitram 2” (2019). Bhavana has won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress for her debut film “Nammal” and has received multiple Filmfare nominations. She married Kannada producer Naveen in 2018. Known for her expressive eyes and naturalistic acting style, Bhavana remains an active and beloved presence across multiple South Indian film industries.
