Swaminathan, popularly known as Chaams and also known as Java Sundaresan, born on July 17, 1970, is a Tamil film comedian and actor. He gained popularity through the iconic comedy television show “Lollu Sabha” on Vijay TV, where his comedic timing and ability to parody popular Tamil films made him a fan favourite.
Chaams was one of the key performers on “Lollu Sabha,” the satirical show that brilliantly spoofed popular Tamil films and became one of the most watched comedy programmes in Tamil television history. The show served as a launching pad for several comedians who later became successful in Tamil cinema, including Santhanam and Yogi Babu.
Following his television success, Chaams transitioned to Tamil films, appearing in supporting comedy roles in various movies. His distinctive physical appearance and reliable comedy delivery made him a familiar face in Tamil cinema. He has appeared in numerous Tamil films in comedy supporting roles, working with both established and emerging directors.
