Ilavarasu, born on August 28, 1964, in Tamil Nadu, is a versatile Tamil film actor who has appeared in over 150 films, primarily in supporting roles. A trained theatre artist, he brings a strong dramatic foundation to his screen performances that sets him apart from many of his contemporaries.

Ilavarasu made his film debut in “Pasi” (1984) and spent years honing his craft in various supporting roles before gaining significant recognition. His breakthrough came through his association with the wave of realistic Tamil films in the late 2000s and 2010s. His performances in “Nadodigal” (2009), “Mynaa” (2010) directed by Prabhu Solomon, and “Paradesi” (2013) directed by Bala were critically acclaimed.

He is particularly known for his ability to portray rural characters with authenticity and emotional depth.
