Indhuja Ravichandran, born on August 1, 1994, in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, is a Tamil film actress known for her strong, unconventional performances. She has quickly established herself as an actress who chooses distinct, content-driven films over mainstream commercial cinema.
Indhuja made her acting debut in “Meyaadha Maan” (2017) directed by Rathna Kumar, and gained immediate attention. She followed this with a critically acclaimed performance in “Merku Thodarchi Malai” (2018), an ethnographic drama about plantation workers in the Western Ghats, which won the National Film Award for Best Tamil Film.
Her other notable films include “Boomerang” (2019), “Super Deluxe” (2019) directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja, and “Kalathil Santhippom” (2021). She is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and brings a distinct physicality and intensity to her roles.
