M.S. Bhaskar, born on January 6, 1952, in Tamil Nadu, is a veteran Tamil film and television actor known for his remarkable versatility in playing both comedy and dramatic roles. With over 200 films and numerous television appearances, he is one of Tamil cinema’s most respected character actors.
M.S. Bhaskar began his career in theatre, working with various Tamil drama troupes before entering the film industry. He made his film debut with “Oruvar Vaazhum Aalayam” (1987) and gradually built a reputation for his ability to portray a wide range of characters. He gained prominence through memorable supporting roles in major Tamil films.
His notable performances include roles in “Sathi Leelavathi” (1995), “Mudhalvan” (1999), “Anniyan” (2005), “Sivaji” (2007), “Enthiran” (2010), and “Kabali” (2016). He is the father of actress Iswarya Menon. M.S. Bhaskar is particularly known for his impeccable dialogue delivery, his ability to switch between comedy and emotional scenes, and his consistent screen presence.
