Early Life and Education

Manasa was born to Ravi Shankar and Shailaja in Hyderabad. She moved to Malaysia at a young age due to her father’s job, where she completed her Grade 10 at the Global Indian International School. After returning to India, she pursued a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Vasavi College of Engineering, Hyderabad. During college, she won the Miss Fresher title in her first year and the Miss Ramp Walk title, hinting at her future in the world of beauty and glamour.

Corporate Career

After graduating, Manasa joined FactSet in Hyderabad as a financial information exchange analyst. She also worked with luxury brands during this period. Manasa’s life took a dramatic turn when she was crowned VLCC Femina Miss India World 2020 on February 10, 2021, representing the state of Telangana. She was crowned by Suman Rao (Miss World 2019 second runner-up) at the Hyatt Regency, Mumbai. As part of her Miss India journey, she launched a Beauty with a Purpose project advocating for the strengthening of child protection laws in India.

Manasa made her acting debut in the Telugu film Devaki Nandana Vasudeva (2024), portraying the mythological character Satyabhama. The role marked her transition from the world of beauty pageants to cinema.

Couple Friendly (2026) — The Breakout Hit

Manasa’s breakout role came with Couple Friendly, directed by Ashwin Chandrasekar. She plays Mithra, an independent IT professional navigating the pressures of career, family expectations, and modern love in Chennai. Opposite Santosh Sobhan’s Siva, their on-screen chemistry was widely praised by both audiences and critics.
