Shiva Kumaravel, popularly known as Mirchi Shiva, born on December 10, 1982, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is a popular Tamil actor and comedian known for his sharp wit and comedic timing. He began his career as a radio jockey at the popular FM station Mirchi, which earned him his stage name.

Shiva made his acting debut in Venkat Prabhu’s cricket-themed film “Chennai 600028” (2007), which became a surprise hit. He rose to stardom with “Thamizh Padam” (2010), a hilarious spoof of Tamil cinema tropes that became a cult classic. The film’s sequel “Tamizh Padam 2” (2018) was also well-received, cementing his reputation as Tamil cinema’s premier satirical comedian.

His filmography includes commercial hits like “Kalakalappu” (2012), “Sonna Puriyathu” (2013), “Vanakkam Chennai” (2013), and “Masala Padam” (2015).
