Biography

Nazriya Nazim, born on December 20, 1994, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is a beloved Indian actress known for her captivating performances in Malayalam and Tamil cinema. She began her career as a child artist and television anchor before making her film debut in the Malayalam movie “Maad Dad” (2013).

Her breakthrough came with the Tamil romantic comedy “Raja Rani” (2013) alongside Arya and Nayanthara, directed by Atlee, which became a massive commercial success. Her portrayal of the bubbly and endearing Regina won the hearts of Tamil audiences and earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Tamil). She followed this with the Malayalam blockbuster “Bangalore Days” (2014) directed by Anjali Menon, where her natural performance as the young bride was widely celebrated.

In 2014, Nazriya married acclaimed Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil, and the couple has become one of South Indian cinema’s most admired pairs. After a brief hiatus following her marriage, she made a successful comeback with “Koode” (2018) and went on to star in critically acclaimed films like “Trance” (2020), “Ante Sundaraniki” (2022), and “Sita Ramam” (2022).
