Radha Ravi, born on July 29, 1952, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is a veteran Tamil actor and politician from a distinguished film family. He is the son of legendary actor M.R. Radha and the brother of actor Raadhika Sarathkumar, giving him deep roots in the Tamil entertainment industry.

Radha Ravi has appeared in over 200 films across Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam languages, establishing himself as one of the most versatile character actors in South Indian cinema. His notable film appearances include roles in “Panchathanthiram” (2002), “Anniyan” (2005), “Sivaji: The Boss” (2007), “Enthiran” (2010), and “Kabali” (2016). He has played a wide range of characters from authority figures and villains to comic roles with equal effectiveness.

Beyond acting, Radha Ravi served as the President of the Nadigar Sangam (South Indian Film Artistes’ Association) and has been involved in Tamil Nadu politics, associating with various political parties including the DMK.
