Biography

Rashmika Mandanna, born on April 5, 1996, in Virajpet, Kodagu district, Karnataka, is one of the most popular young actresses in Indian cinema today, working across Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi films. She is often referred to as the “National Crush” by her fans and media for her girl-next-door charm.

Rashmika made her acting debut with the Kannada blockbuster “Kirik Party” (2016) while still a college student. She quickly rose to prominence in Telugu cinema with hits like “Geetha Govindam” (2018) opposite Vijay Deverakonda, “Sarileru Neekevvaru” (2020) with Mahesh Babu, and “Bheeshma” (2020). Her performance in “Dear Comrade” (2019) showcased her dramatic range.

Rashmika achieved pan-India fame with her Hindi debut in “Goodbye” (2022) alongside Amitabh Bachchan and her role in “Animal” (2023) opposite Ranbir Kapoor. She also appeared in the “Pushpa” franchise — “Pushpa: The Rise” (2021) and “Pushpa: The Rule” (2024) — opposite Allu Arjun, which became massive nationwide hits. In Tamil cinema, she has starred in “Sulthan” (2021) opposite Karthi and other projects.
