Reema Sen, born on October 29, 1981, in Kolkata, West Bengal, is an Indian actress and model who predominantly appeared in Tamil and Telugu films during the 2000s. The granddaughter of legendary Bengali actress Suchitra Sen, Reema inherited her family’s artistic legacy and made a career in South Indian cinema.
Reema Sen made her Tamil debut with “Minimum” (2002) and quickly gained attention for her acting abilities. She rose to fame with “Aayitha Ezhuthu” (2004), directed by Mani Ratnam, where she delivered a critically acclaimed performance alongside Suriya, Siddharth, and Madhavan. The film, which explored political themes through interconnected stories, showcased her versatility as an actress.
Her other notable Tamil films include “Thulluvadho Ilamai” (2002), “Anniyan” (2005) directed by S. Shankar, where she played one of the female leads alongside Vikram, and “Subramaniapuram” (2008), a critically acclaimed period drama. In Telugu cinema, she appeared in successful films like “Ontari” (2008) and “Ganesh” (2009).
