Samantha Ruth Prabhu, born on April 28, 1987, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is a leading Indian actress who has made a significant impact in both Telugu and Tamil cinema. She graduated from Stella Maris College, Chennai, with a degree in Commerce before pursuing acting.

Samantha made a remarkable debut in 2010, appearing in both Gautham Menon’s “Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa” (Tamil) and “Ye Maaya Chesave” (Telugu), winning the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut - South. She quickly established herself as one of South India’s most bankable stars with films like “Eega” (2012), “Attarintiki Daredi” (2013), “Theri” (2016), “Mersal” (2017), and “Super Deluxe” (2019).

Her performance in the critically acclaimed “Super Deluxe” directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja showcased her acting depth. She gained massive pan-India recognition with her special dance number “Oo Antava” in “Pushpa: The Rise” (2021) and her role in the Amazon Prime series “The Family Man 2” (2021).
