Biography

Sneha, born Suhasini Rajaram on October 12, 1981, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is a popular Indian actress who has worked extensively in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema. Known for her traditional beauty and natural acting style, she became one of the most beloved leading ladies in Tamil cinema during the 2000s.

Sneha made her acting debut with the Tamil film “Ennavale” (2000), but her breakthrough came with “Virumbugiren” (2002) and “Parthale Paravasam” (2001). She went on to star in numerous hit films including “Unnai Ninaithu” (2002), “Aanandham” (2001) opposite Mammootty, “April Maadhathil” (2002), “Autograph” (2004) directed by Cheran which won the National Film Award, and “Pirivom Santhippom” (2008). In Telugu, she appeared in successful films like “Radha Gopalam” and “Sye”.

Sneha won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress for “Virumbugiren” and the Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Tamil. She married actor Prasanna in 2012, and the couple has two children. After a brief hiatus, she returned to acting with “Pattas” (2020) opposite Dhanush and has been selectively appearing in films. Known for her elegant screen presence and warm personality, Sneha remains a fan favourite in Tamil cinema.
