Biography
Tamannaah Bhatia, born on December 21, 1989, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is one of South Indian cinema’s most popular and glamorous actresses. She made her acting debut at the age of 15 in the Hindi film “Chand Sa Roshan Chehra” (2005) before entering Telugu cinema with “Sri” (2005) and Tamil cinema with “Kedi” (2006).
Her breakthrough in Tamil cinema came with “Paiyaa” (2010) opposite Karthi, which became a massive hit and established her as a leading heroine. She went on to deliver commercial successes in Tamil films like “Siruthai” (2011), “Viswasam” (2015), and “Devi” (2016). In Telugu cinema, she became one of the top actresses with blockbusters like “100% Love” (2011), “Tadakha” (2013), and “Aagadu” (2014).
Tamannaah achieved pan-Indian fame with her role as Avantika in S.S. Rajamouli’s magnum opus “Baahubali: The Beginning” (2015) and “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” (2017), which became the highest-grossing Indian film franchise of its time. Her recent work includes “Aranmanai 4” (2024) and the web series “Jee Karda” (2023).
