Vijay Antony

Vijay Antony Joseph, born on July 24, 1975, in Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu, is a multitalented Indian music composer, actor, and film producer. He began his musical journey by studying at the Trinity College of Music and started his career as an independent music album artist.

Vijay Antony gained massive fame as a music director with the independent album “Naaka Mukka” (2008), which became a viral sensation across Tamil Nadu. His film composing debut came with “Dishyum” (2006), and he went on to compose music for successful films including “Velayudham” (2011), “Naan” (2012), and “Salim” (2014).

He made a successful transition to acting with “Naan” (2012), a revenge thriller that became a hit. His acting career gained momentum with “Salim” (2014), “Pichaikkaran” (2016), which was a massive commercial success about a millionaire who becomes a beggar, and “Thimiru Pudichavan” (2018). His dual career as both music director and actor is a rare feat in Tamil cinema.

Vijay Antony also runs his own production house, Vijay Antony Film Corporation. He has produced and starred in films like “Kolai” (2023) and “Mazhai Pidikkatha Manithan” (2024). Known for his melodious compositions, intense screen presence, and ability to successfully juggle multiple roles in the film industry, Vijay Antony continues to be a unique and versatile force in Tamil cinema.
