Ganesh, popularly known as VTV Ganesh, born on December 21, 1961, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is a Tamil actor, comedian, and film producer who gained widespread fame through the blockbuster “Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa” (2010), from which he derives his popular moniker.

VTV Ganesh worked in the film industry as a producer and behind-the-scenes figure before his acting role in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s “Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa” (VTV) brought him unexpected stardom. His portrayal of Ganesh, the jovial and supportive friend to Simbu’s character, resonated deeply with audiences and made him an overnight sensation. His natural comedy and endearing screen presence made the character iconic.

Following VTV, he appeared in numerous Tamil films in comedy supporting roles including “Osthe” (2011), “Nanban” (2012), “Thuppakki” (2012), “Kaththi” (2014), and “Theri” (2016). He became a sought-after comedy actor and has appeared in over 50 films since his breakout role.

As a producer, VTV Ganesh has been involved in various film projects and continues to contribute to Tamil cinema both in front of and behind the camera.
