How TamilURL writes news and other content, how we use AI tools, how we credit sources and how we correct mistakes.

Last updated: 2 November 2026

This page explains how TamilURL produces what you read, so you can judge how much to rely on it.

News

Our Tamil Nadu news section summarises stories that have already been reported by established news outlets and official sources.

  • We credit the source. Every news article names the outlet it is based on and links to the original report. For the full story, read the original.
  • We only report what the source reports. Our summaries do not add facts, quotes or claims that are not in the original report.
  • We write in our own words. We do not copy articles. We write a shorter summary in English and Tamil.
  • We keep opinion out. News articles report what happened. They do not take political sides.
  • We remove old news. News that is no longer useful is taken down after a few months.

How we use AI

We use AI tools, including large language models, to help draft news summaries from the source report, to translate between English and Tamil, and to sort articles into categories. AI tools also help research and organise movie and celebrity information.

AI can make mistakes. That is why every news article links to its source, and why we correct errors quickly when we find them or readers report them.

Movies and celebrities

Movie and celebrity pages are compiled from public sources, such as official announcements, film credits, trailers and streaming platforms. Release dates and streaming details change often, and we update pages as new information comes out.

Images and videos

Images come from official promotional material, news sources and our own illustrations. Some illustrations, such as recipe pictures, may be AI-generated. Videos are embedded from YouTube, and the rights stay with their owners.

Corrections

If you spot a mistake, please tell us through our contact page and include the page link. We check reported errors and correct them. If a correction changes the meaning of a news article, we say so in the article.

Independence

TamilURL is independent. We are not paid to publish news stories, and we do not accept payment to change what our news says. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled.
