- விளக்கம்
- கடலும் தாங்க முடியாத அளவுக்குப் பெரிய காதல் நோயை எனக்கு உண்டாக்கிய என் கண்கள், இப்போது தாமும் கண் மூடி உறங்க முடியாமல் துன்பத்தில் உழல்கின்றன என்கிறாள் தலைவி. 'படல்' என்பது உறங்குதல்; 'பைதல் உழக்கும்' என்பது துயரத்தில் வருந்தும் என்பது பொருள். பிரிவுத் துயரம் ஒருவரின் உறக்கத்தையும் பறித்துவிடும் என்பதை இது காட்டுகிறது.
